Wine Making 101: Your Key to making the perfect wines
U-Brew offers 75 – 100 different varieties of juice wines. After a customer makes a wine selection:
Step 1: Mix Wine
The wine concentrate is combined with additives of varietal juices and yeast and placed in a primary fermentation bucket for 7 – 10 days.
Step 2: First Racking
Upon completion of primary fermentation, the wine is transferred into a clean, sanitized glass carboy for another 10 – 14 days to complete fermentation.
Step 3: Stabilization & Clarification
Following fermentation, your wine is treated with preservatives, which will stabilize and clear your wine. Depending on wine style, sweetening blends are added at this time.
Step 4: Additional Racking
After 20 days, rack your wine to polish and finish.
Step 5: Bottle & Cork
Bottle and cork your wine.
Step 6: Aging
Fruit wine kits are drinkable immediately. White wine kits are best if aged 3 - 6 months and red wine kits are best if aged 6 - 9 months. Most 23 liter/gallon batches will yield 28 – 30 bottles of wine.
Step 7: Enjoy!
Enjoy your home brewed, fabulous wine!
